About

Kara Eischen grew up in Wesley, IA. After graduating from Bishop Garrigan High School, she attended Simpson College in Indianola, IA where she earned a degree in Criminal Justice.

Growing up, Kara knew she wanted to pursue a career that allowed her to help people. Through her undergraduate studies, she discovered a passion for the law and advocating for others that led her to law school. Kara attended Drake University Law School where she served on the editorial board for the Drake Law Review, represented clients as a student attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic, and worked as a research assistant.

After her 1L year, Kara accepted a clerking position with the Timmer & Judkins law firm. She knew after her first day it was exactly where she was meant to be. Since then, Kara has had the extraordinary opportunity to learn from Brooke, Whitney, and Beatriz and help clients who’ve faced discrimination, retaliation, and unfair treatment in the workplace. She is excited to continue working for the firm and fight for the rights of Iowa employees.

Kara resides in Ankeny. In her free time, she enjoys using the biking and walking trails in town, reading, and binge-watching Korean dramas (they are super addicting).
