Former Iowa Prison Guard Kristine Sink’s road to justice was long. It involved sacrifice, suffering, and struggle. But it has finally come to an end, and Iowa is a better place today because of it.
T&J attorney Emily McCarty was an integral part of Sink’s settlement with the State of Iowa, having served as co-counsel in Kristine’s sexual harassment trial, as well as a second disability discrimination and retaliation trial in March 2018. Emily also assisted with appellate briefing and argued the appeal of the first trial in front of the Iowa Court of Appeals.
